I don't want this as a blog, or closed. I'm going to try to be a as logical as possible.

I don't know how I can go on supporting her. Yeah, she'll continue to make amazing, catchy music after this. But she just completely ruined herself for me.

You see, I've always admired Rihanna for her independence, her strong will & her... stubbornness (ironic, right?). I would think that, as Rihanna said in prior interviews, that she would make the wise decision of being CORDIAL towards Chris Brown, yet not get too involved with him again. Yeah, it's just a song, but a song like Birthday Cake gives me strong implications they are very good friends again. I mean, the lyrics give clues, but if they were not close again, the song would've incredibly awkward to record with him.

Anyway, I'm disappointed with him too. Both of them are using it for attention, but he couldn't have handled it worse by promoting himself & his own music. He's using controversy to help the yet-to-be-released Fortune. They're both taking the remix trend to its absolute capacity.

I mean... I love both of their music. So I'm trying to not be a one-sided fan. But does anyone else feel like they're morally degrading themselves now by being a fan of either? Rihanna,
No matter how many times she sang about S&M or Cockiness, was always someone who made music that exuded confidence & independence. She has all but shattered that. The internal conflict with me is : is it STRONG of her to forgive Brown in such a manner that she's comfortable enough to make sex anthems with him? Or is it horrible?

I just don't know. Not even another We Found Love could bring me back to my level of fandom 3-6 months ago. And oh Chris, I don't know what to do about your music, but I may be making Fortune absent from my CD purchases this year.

If you all knew (especially members who have been here for 2 years) HOW big a fan I am of both I them.... I'm pretty much devastated. I've defended BOTH of them, & they just slapped me, as a fan, in my face. Thanks a lot guys.

If any other popstar was ever ABUSED by their boyfriend/spouse, the reaction would be similar by the respective fan/stanbases, I imagine.
