No offense, but it's clear a lot of people didn't follow chart music before 2009. It was clear probably since the crunk movement in the mid-00's that synths and dance were going to get popular. Electropop songs started getting to #1 regularly on the Hot 100 since 2006, especially thanks to Timabaland.
Digital downloads being included in the Hot 100 in 2005 were also a big reason for the resurgance of dance. Hollaback Girl got to #1 because of it, and it spun off from there.

Right but back then Timabaland's hits were not labeled electropop but they are definitely some of the core basis for the music that we now have today. The songs that you listed all were released in 08, people were still having huge R&B/Hip hop hits back then, where as right now it's mostly electro/Adele LOL.
