I agree and disagree. Yes, LAP did tackle a more mature sound, but I think True Blue had that as well. Songs like Live To Tell, Papa Don't Preach, etc. But I would sound stupid to say TB as a whole has a more mature sound than LAP. As far as pop culture goes though LAV will be her album with the most impact. LAV is her Baby One More Time, The Fame, etc.
True Blue was NOT in the same league. Live to Tell and Papa Don't Preach, the two heaviest songs on the album, weren't even written by her.
