i knew none of the other nominees, it wasn't much of a fair match tho, so it didnt surprise me. & it had beautiful people & all back so I'm cool with it...

4 deserved to get this award much more. But since it wasn't nominated, from all options it was definitely the best. I have to say that this album is amazing.

It was definitely the best RnB album last year also mixed with other genres for a few songs.

R. Kelly or Ledisi deserved that honor. Chris just benefited from the fact that they combined Traditional R&B with Contemporary R&B, and Beyonce managed to get snubbed. He was obviously the frontrunner against all those soul singers.

4 was the best album by any mainstream artist, so that clearly should have won. I'm still trying to understand how an album that features Justin Bieber, has tracks like "Beautiful People", "She Ain't You", and "Look At Me Now" is R&B. Anyone care to explain?

No, because the words "Best" and "R&B" do not apply to it.

"She Ain't You' is obviously an R&B song. It sampled SWV's "Right Here (Human Nature Remix)," which sampled Michael Jackson's "Human Nature."

Like someone said, had they not combined Traditional R&B Album with Contemporary R&B Album, he would have been nominated in Contemporary R&B Album, anyway. The only category he could have fit in is Best Pop Vocal Album, which he would have lost or he probably would have missed a nomination altogether.
