Christina and Beyonce. Beyonce has become the most dynamic entertainer in recent years, while Xtina has left her mark as one of the great voices in music.
Rolling Stones would agree with both of these assessments.

Let's be honest, the only people from that list who'll be remembered as legends for defining and changing the industry, rather for good or bad are Britney Spears and Beyonce. People always are quick to denounce Britney because of how "untalented" or "unrespected" she supposedly is. Are we really going to question the impact this woman has had in Pop music and Pop Culture in general for the past 15 years across the globe? She has and still is making an impact in this industry.
No, Britney isn't anywhere close to what she was in her younger years. She experienced several public scandals that made headlines, but one can never forget all that she accomplished and continues to accomplish over the years because of that. People downplay Britney's talents all the time. You don't do Broadway in NY, compete in gymnastics meets, make it on a nationally televised program over thousands of auditioning kids, sign with a major record label, get accepted into a prestigious NYC performing arts academy, make commercials, dance, sing, win on Star Search, write music, compose music, play a musical instrument, made countless contributions to catapulting yourself into super stardom if you are a talentless puppet. Get real people! I'm not proclaiming her the best or most talented individual in the world or anything, but C'MON!
How we forget the impact that she has on talented musicians today in music who have stated how much they have been influenced by Britney or have grew up a fan of hers over the years. Ask Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and more how they have admired and been huge fans of hers in the past. GROUPS and LABELS were created because of Britney and Britney alone. Ask Christina, Jessica, Mandy, Willa, and any pop female that came out in the late 90's or early 00's what it was like to be called a "Britney clone" or the "Britney's?" Ask Avril, P!nk, Vanessa Carlton, MIchelle Branch, etc. what it felt like to be identified as "The Anti-Britney's?"
Britney is the SIXTH mutha-freaking best selling female artist worldwide, she's done something that not many other ladies can claim. Britney has visual images, performances, songs, and photo shoots that have transcended through time. She has accomplished so much over her career and continues to set records in the music industry, nearly 14 years after the fact. For a supposed record flopping (Femme Fatale), selling 10 million records worldwide is still impressive in my opinion. *shrugs*
Crack jokes about her breakdown all you want, but her lack of promoting material or the breakdown doesn't erase or override the full career package. Personal struggles making the headlines? Britney is not the first and won't be the last, Elvis, MJ, Madonna, Whitney, and several others have well documented struggles that made headlines everywhere. People act like Britney has never received critical acclaim before in her life on multiple occasions as well. Nobody wants to give her the due she deserves, yet here she is, still selling and still impacting the industry along with the new artists of today.

Britney stans need to get acquainted with reality. Your fave will certainly be remembered as a pop icon, but never as a legend, simply because her overall reputation as an artist is zilch. She's not known for being musically talented or having artistic credibility. So what is there to be considered legendary? Take off your stan glasses for a minute.
As for the others, I can see it for Beyoncé and Alicia, but others are debatable at best.

I wouldn't put it this harshly, but I agree.
Britney will definitely be remembered, as far as I'm concerned she was the person to really kick start teen pop as we know it today. When she was signed and became successful, other girls were given the same opportunity BECAUSE of Britney. Record labels wanted "the next Britney". Teen pop IS Britney, she is a symbol of that sub-genre itself, if not the sole representation. Unfortunately, teen pop IS NOT RESPECTED. AT ALL. Pop music in general is barely respected. Britney receives the kudos and mentions she does because she's lasted a long time. A longer time than anyone else who looked to replicate her. People acknowledge that and Britney will be remembered, however I doubt she'll ever be considered a legend by the majority.
Before ATRL, I had never heard anyone refer to Britney Spears as legendary, no shade, just my experience. In my 19 years of life I still haven't heard anyone outside of the interwebs refer to Britney Spears as a legend. She's a pop icon most definitely. If you did a survey around your city asking random people to name a "successful popstar", Britney's name would likely come up the most, and it's also likely that if you'd ask those same people if she were, "legendary" they'd say no.
In the end I think Alicia & Shakira are the safest bets for future legend status.

P!nk, Bey and Shak. Shakira is ADORED AND WORSHIPPED globally. She rules Latin America and Europe, and has hits in the US too. Who else can sell millions on a spanish language album? Considering spanish musical markets are tiny, it is a MASSIVE accomplishment. Bey and P!nk are self explanatory.

If I had to pick, with a gun against my head, I would go with Britney and Xtina, but only time will tell.

R&B doesn't really have a big global reach. It can be very hit and miss, Europe (bar the UK) isn't so hot on it. And her glasto performance/hype answers your question as does her I AM world tour...

RnB was pretty big in Europe during 2002-2007 time, although it's pretty much dead in Europe now commercially, but the same can be said for the US aswell.

Beyonce and Britney.
I'm not sure about Christina, I think she needs another album or two before I can predict that.
