Michael Jackson had huge sales with Man On The Mirror (#2 on Digital Sales) and he couldn't chart. Obviously Billboard changed its rules now.

so, i wonder why any other whitney songs didn't chart on H100. was the exception just made for IWALY? there were other songs that had high sales on Saturday evening and all through Sunday.

Whitney doesn't have a shot at number one. IDK what people are talking about. But it's amazing they allowed her back, and obviously reason for delay. Shame MJ couldn't. Wonder what the official ruling is, though. Will recurrent songs be able to chart whenever now?

"I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)" re-opens at #35
"Greatest Love Of All" re-appears at #41.
These were among 22 Houston hits that showed up this week on the top 200 Hot Digital Songs chart.

No. Billboard makes the decision on if a song can re-chart, if its seeing a resurgence in popularity (sales/radio). However, that's not been the case for these much older songs.

Jesus could u imagine if she had the full week? She could of possibly shot back to #1. Wouldn't that make history? The first song to be #1 20 years after it's first weeks at #1

Happy for Whitney... truly is amazing woman! BUT why not anyone else before?! I just wanna know the "why" -- then it'll probably sit betetr with me.

When will Billboard post the Hot 100 article? I want to see what their reasoning is for letting Whitney re-chart.

Whitney shouldn't have charted to be honest.
They're planning to re-release the Titanic film, and "My Heart Will Go On" won't chart because after a certain amount of time, it cannot chart on the Hot 100. If they're going to bend the rules for Whitney, they better bend the rules for Ceine.

Looks like Katy didn't debut this week, which sets her up perfectly for an awesome #1 DEBUT!!!!

If they changed the rules then obviously the rule change is for everyone.
Mariah will chart every December with "All I Want For Christmas Is You" now
