As I'm sure all of you gurls know, Mariah has more number one hits than any solo artist ever, male or female, but as Elvis learned in 2008, records are meant to be broken. Katy's 5 (or was it 6? ) number ones from one album indicate that she's a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the charts and Rih has 11 #1's after being in the business for only 7 years (Mariah got her 11th after 6 years )

I hope Mariah remains unbothered, but it'd probably be Rihanna first, then Katy would probably break it...or maybe they'll both break it with their collab
Somebody will unseat Mariah eventually. Mariah's record isn't unbeatable. Rihanna seems to have the better chance, but with all the tricks Capitol pulled for TD...
None. Both will slow down in 1 or 2 years. Radios don't play the same singers forever. Radios will get tired of their bubblegum pop eventually. Sometime soon another hot girl will dominate the game. That's the way it is.
You also have to keep in mind were in a digital era now, which Rihanna and that other one clearly benefit from. Even if one of them break Mariah's record, I will still have the utmost respect for Mariah, not just as a stan but she wrote all her #1 singles and even composed and co-produced many of them. She also didn't have to heavily depend on discounts to score #1 singles. Mariah, unlike those two, makes music because it's her passion. She doesn't do it for #1 hits.
