And that is all fine and dandy, but that doesnt mean you can ignore 20 years of influence byTina Turner or Diana Ross, to this very day female artists STILL do what they did first. I have no doubt in my mind that Madonna is influential on pop artists but they influenced ALL FEMALE ARTISTS of any genre simply by doing something they felt just like Madonna did but before her.
Do you understand that before Diana Ross & The Supremes female artists stood still and sang music in long dresses and used nothing but their voice to entertain. The Supremes & Tina Turner (+Cher) especially made showing skin on stage okay, Tina was damn near the first real deal female dancer who was actually a singer and not an actress playing all the roles of Hollywood.

Stage performing - TINA TURNER!
These things are the basic necessity of any current female singer. Not everyone is trying to be Madonna, but they have no choice but to be like Diana and Tina because they are the standard.

Again. Madonna just pushed it to the limit and beyond. That doesn't mean she started all, i understand what you saying.
Did they masturbate on stage? No.
Did they write a book about their sexual fantasies? No.
Did they manage their own career? No.
Did they behave like only man were allowed to? No.
