This needs to be discussed - not asking for actions to be taken but I want everyone's view points on this, only because this situation occurred very recently.

So if a member purchases ATRL+ ($20 for 6 months), and eventually they get banned, should they be eligible for a refund? If so, that's basically scamming and they ended up using the ATRL+ service for free. It's like playing those RPG games (I don't know any, but I've heard of "WoW"? ) I'm sure you can purchase with real money "weapons" to use in the game, but if you get break the rules and get permabanned, do you expect them to refund you? No.

Anyway, what do you guys think? Thoughts?

No. If you get banned, it's your own fault. That would be like paying for a concert ticket, breaking the rules and being kicked out of the concert before it's finished.

Even before ATRL+ existed, ATRL would accept donations. I remember people asking for their damn DONATIONS back when they got warned/banned.

That's like buying a car, getting caught in a DUI and having your licence revoked, and trying to return the vehicle.

no but i did pay 100+ for a 6 month thing so i wish they can make mine 12 months instead of 6, but no refunds though

Nope. The mentality should be "I'm spending good money on this, I should make sure I don't get banned so I can enjoy it."

I think people who are voting "yes" need to realize that if every member gets refunded after getting banned, the site is just going to start diminishing. ATRL needs donation - that's why the server is always messed up. Refunding the money isn't going to help.

look at least ATRL is giving you a chance to change ur name and have fun with your donation now so they should be thanking the site then wanting refunds i mean its only 20 bucks for 6 months i mean no big deal.

Well, the server issue is one thing, yeah. I was mainly voting on the meaning of the transaction. In the real world, you couldn't get your money back on something that YOU messed up.

You're right also. We are in desperate need of help, and asking for your money back would be really tacky and cheap (non-literally and literally).

But it's a person's own fault for not being able to use it. No one gets banned for no reason.

I wouldn't waste my money in the first place, but if you do spend it, and get banned then you shouldn't be refunded unless the ban was completely unfair.

Don't forget that this site is ATRL where majority of the members here are sassy. If any member here gets banned, they would take it way too personal, be delusional about them breaking the rules, etc.

Also, I'm not surprised that the people who purchase ATRL+ are usually the ones that gets banned first. They have this mentality that just because they purchase this service, they are immune to getting warning points/banned.
