The only reason I didn't mention X-tina and Beyoncé it's because they had some nice impact and are actually icons.

Queen LATIFAH is a mogul, and one of the most significant rappers in history. She also was one of the first rappers to crossover into successful films, and modeling gigs such as Cover girl.
Mary J Blige is the Queen of Hip/Hop soul and has so much respect among her peers it's not even funny. She's had an influence on a lot of singers, and her music has transcended generations and helped people through their personal struggles.
