As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure the same Catholic fanatics who were opposed to Nicki's performance were also critical of The Devil Inside and countless other exorcism films.
The difference is that you pay knowing you're walking into an exorcism movie. You don't tune in to the Grammys expecting an exorcism show. Not that I'm offended by that. Just responding to her response
THIS IS THE EXACT POINT IVE BEEN MAKING EVER SINCE THE PERFORMANCE!
If people are offended by the IDEA of exorcisms then WHY DID THE DEVIL INSIDE GO #1 EVEN BEING A STUPIDASS MOVIE? People LOVE this type of **** don't act all surprised and offended and **** just because a rapper is doing it.
The audience likes to watch a good "movie." When the "movie" of a performance
is terrible, like what was shown on Sunday, then it's offensive to the senses
and will be criticized. In other words, "Shut up and take the criticism..."
I'm not offended about the exorcism. I'm offended that such a desperate and irrelevant performance came out of an artist I used to like.
Watch the back-up dancers throughout the performance. The scene getting the most heat are the ones where the back up dancers are grinding on/straddling the men praying.
