No offense, but I actually think 19 was a better album. The tracks are good, but was this album really deserving of all it's critical and commercial success?

21 deserves everything it achieved this year (and some more). 19 was indeed a better album though...

I think people wanted something different then the usual electronic/auto-tune stuff on radio today, so they could relate to "21" a lot: A simple, soul/jazz feel to it with an AMAZING vocalist It's well-deserved success in my opinion

Just a friendly reminder that Adele outpeaking, outselling or outwhatevering your faves does not make your faves irrelevant, untalented or undeserving of praise. All the rage is unbecoming.

I hate to say it, but yes.

21 is great. Obviously, there were other amazing albums that deserved recognition this year as well, but no one did it bigger than Adele, so all the love is coming her way. You can't hate someone for utterly dominating on every level.

Same with Echo, the better album flopped in the US.
