I don't understand why everyone's saying Deja Vu sounds just like Crazy In Love because honestly it doesn't! CIL is a masterpiece, DV is pure ****. This song is pure TRASH. I really don't understand either why radio is eating it up. All she's doing is screaming in this unsynchronized off-beat non-melodic "song" with an ape in the background trying to rap. It's worse than **** On It, which is also GARBAGE. She seriously needs to get it together baby and make good music like Crazy In Love, Me Myself and I, Naughty Girl, and Baby Boy.

Eternal punishment for having anything to do with the writing, singing, or producing of Deja Vu: Beyonce getting back together with that ape Jay-Z.

Jealous of what success? DIL was HEAVILY promoted. She was EVERYWHERE. ve never seen anything like it, and yet her album sold merely 4x Platinum. She will never be able to top the success of the Goddess Britney Spears...

Album sales, #1 albums, #1 singles, top 10 hits, etc., etc., etc. all prove that you are wrong. Knowles has topped Spears in every measurable way over their careers. I will listen to neither. But I certainly won't embarass myself by making personal attacks against either one. Again, envy is ugly. Let it go.

At the time of CIL's release, it was something fresh & innovative. True, it took a bit for it to grow on most of us but we later realized what pop masterpiece it was. Deja Vu does not have the same effect on anyone. To non-fans, Deja Vu comes off as an attempt to replicate the success and shine CIL had/has. Of course the song is blowing up; radio is set out to make Beyonce the most important thing in music and Columbia is focusing all their attention on making Beyonce the STAR of today and LEGEND of tomorrow. I'm sorry but she truly is none of those.

I see that Britney Spears has been thrown into this so I'll use her as a comparison. As finished and vocally "limited" as she is, she posesses true star quality. She has the look. It's not that she's attractive (I personally don't find her all that hot) but she has this shine that lures you in and she has a full on personality to go along with it. Beyonce Knowles does not possess that quality.

Now onto the matter of being a legend; I truly don't know if that is her calling or not but I do know that overhyping won't get her where she wants to be. Overexposure doesn't substitute for the "missing pieces" in a "star." Well not for long at least.

Doesn't Knowles have 2 #1 movies to her credit? At least? I'd say she has the edge over Spears always and today.
