Lillix "Inside The Hollow" Tracklisting
Lillix Return With Sophomore Album In August
Lillix, the spitfire quartet, is roaring back to the spotlight this summer with the August release of the guitar-heavy 'Inside The Hollow' on Maverick Records. Co-produced by Jeff Saltzman (who helmed The Killers' triple platinum 'Hot Fuss'), James Michael (Alanis Morrissette, Motley Crue) and the band, the record embraces Lillix's post-punk and new wave influences as well as their signature power-pop.
'Inside The Hollow' rings with intensity and attitude. From the hard-hitting opener "Blackout" to the new wave treat "Sweet Temptation (Hollow)," bold and memorable hooks drive the album. Other gems include the Beatlesque pop of "Wishing Well," the anthemic "Got Off Easy," and the bait-and-switch, catchy "Tempo Change."
'Inside the Hollow' is packed with urgent rock and razor-sharp melodies. The writing shows a newfound maturity as all members -- guitarist-vocalist Tasha-Ray Evin, keyboardist-vocalist Lacey-Lee Evin, bassist-vocalist Louise Burns and new drummer Alicia Warrington -- have entered their third decade.
'Inside The Hollow' shows the same exuberance exhibited on the band's 2003 debut release 'Falling Uphill.' Blender called the band's initial offering "hook-ladden" while Associated Press saw "bursts of creativity and sparkle." Billboard said, "The teen act deserves its kudos" and All Music Guide proclaimed them as "accomplished musicians."
Following the release of 'Falling Uphill', Lillix joined the 2004 Vans Warped Tour and their songs were featured on both the big ('Freaky Friday') and small (theme songs for WB's 'What I Like About You' and MTV's 'Rich Girls') screens.
