Rumors of a feud between pop superstars Katy Perry and Lady Gaga caught fire when the newly divorced singer tweeted a potential dig about the Mama Monster in 2010. More recently, sources told Now magazine that they “have asked that they’re seated as far away from each other as possible” during the 2012 Grammy Awards.
Apparently, their people claim they want to avoid any “uncomfortable moments,” but a blind item from early January suggests that
this may not be the case. Supposedly, the feud isn’t genuine and was created to drum up press.
The blind item alleges that these celebs would “report that the two hate each other and are demanding to be seated far away from each other at an upcoming awards show.” That sounds familiar...
More specifically, it adds,
“In reality, the two are quite chummy, and have spent some private together when one went through some relationship drama.” Um, like a high-profile divorce?
If a fake feud is the only thing standing in the way of a Katy Perry-Lady Gaga collaboration, we’re not happy. Just sayin’...
