this has been around for a while, although I'm not sure it ever got past the conceptualization stage.

It's marketed to women in South afrrica (if i'm correct) , where rape is apparently a very common thing.

This would only be effective if the woman wears it at all times, wouldn't it? Because you can never predict exactly when you're going to be raped. The idea behind it is noble (and rapists deserve the worst amount of pain possible), but I don't think that this is a good approach to the problem.

You're forgetting about tampons, nuvaring, etc. Your body would become used to it after wearing it for a short period of time.
