Sometimes when Bey goes back to her natural color, especially after being so used to seeing her with blonde hair, the contrast with her skin kind of makes her look pale, like in the prom scenes in the Best Thing I Never Had video.

Anywho, the girls look good either way. They rock blonde like it's no one's business.

I was devastated when I found out that Gwen wasn't a natural blonde. It looks so natural and that's the way I'm used to seeing.

Shakira, too, is more commonly known as a blonde (I think?). She's had a lot of hot looks in the She Wolf era, but tbh she looks the best with straight/wavy brown hair.

Aside from Madonna, all of the women in the OP look vastly better as brunettes, especially Gaga. Her dark hair complimented her features, blonde makes her look a bit generic.

But, the rest do look better blond. Britney Brunette looks washed out. Beyonce loses her glow, Gwen looks...weird. etc etc.

I'd love for Britney and Beyoncé to ditch the blonde completely.

Sometimes I think they use blonde hair to try and disguise the fact that Britney is getting older and has aged somewhat poorly. The prototypical blonde bombshell is very youthful - she's a Barbie and she's perfect. At the peak of Britney's career when Britney was the very embodiment of girlish sexiness, the golden locks made prefect sense. Now that she's in her 30s and seems content to put only a minimal amount of effort into her appearance/upkeep, the ultra-platinum hair only emphasizes how much she's matured/changed. I'd love for Britney to transition into something darker. She looks terrible as a dark brunette, but I think they could find a pretty caramel-colored middle ground that would really suit her.
