N'SYNC-Chris was needed for the high falsetto to balance out the harmonies. JC was the best singer, but he needed Lance's bass to balance out his vocals on the songs. Joey Fatone wasn't needed
T-Boz was the lead because she had a very unique voice at the time. It was raspy but it had a unique quality to it. Chilli's voice was great for hooks on their pop-friendly songs like "No Scrubs"
SWV-Coko's amazing high and clear toned soprano voice made the group what it is, but Taj Lelee and Coko together were magical because of their seamless harmonies.
Day 26 was great the way it was. Que gave the group a youthful appeal, and his light vocals worked well for a lot of songs.
Sometimes she even forgets them and when she gets an award she's like "I have worked so hard, ......WE! have worked so hard for...", and besides live performances, a band is not needed if she's only gonna do pop/dance music, I think.
