Exactly. It really isn't the kind of song that would do well on the radio nor digitally. It's not a commercial song.

DOL is at least a great song & has bigger chances to smash imo.

But sis, if you can't see the much bigger potential than DOL in DYT, your preferences here cloud your judgement.

The red hair was just iconic. I love the Loud era so much. I used to bash it while it was going on but it's one of those era's you start to appreciate once it's finished. I miss it tbh.

The whole Loud era was pretty much flaw-free and she was always looking iconic. She seemed so mature and businesswomany. But this era... she just looks like a thug. Which i don't like. I love the car pictures, and where she has wheat in her mouth. Sounds kind of dirty. Oops.

I honestly still can't listen to the album in full without getting annoyed but i've been playing CKB & LTWYL Part 2 lately. The videos are great. Some better than others. Red hair fit her so well. I'm kinda bored of her hairstyle now. It's cute but nothing pops. I hate kinda how she drastically changes every era. The vogue cover was everything. Classy, sophisticated, mature and still youthful. I'm over this thug life crap. I don't know what the **** she doing now. Hopefully it'll change by grammy time.

when it’s over, and it’s gone, you almost wish that you could have all that bad stuff back so that you could have the good.

I don't get the hate for the album. I know it was a major step-back from Rated R but Loud was needed to put Rihanna back on top. It's a short hit-packed album and I love it for what it is. I can listen to every song minus Raining Men, and even that is listenable on certain occasions. But the image is what makes Loud. Yeah, all the videos were great. And even though the single choices were messy, the era had a lot of variety and showed different sides of Rihanna. But sometimes I do wonder what her 5th album would have been like if Rated R smashed. It's a shame it was so unappreciated.

The TTT era image was a mess at the beginning but it's kind of improving now. The blonde hair has potential.

Maybe i won't hate this era after all? As soon as the You Da One vid dropped... I was so scared. But hopefully she's well rested and ready to kick some ass!

It's supposed to be about the music, though.

I will say, I hate when people call Loud generic. I understand it has a couple of generic songs, but there are so many genres on that album. All those genres weren't super popular at the time of Loud's release. And who could forget the amount of OG and WMN? clones that followed? Even though Loud was made for hits and to put Rihanna on top, atleast it achieved the feat with variety.

Rihanna has let me down, and I hate that. And not just once or twice, it feels like its been constant disappointment with her. Hopefully once promo picks up, she'll work her way into my good books again.

I just hope she doesn't screw up the single choices. Birthday Cake has me worried tbh. I wish that song didn't exist or the full song was included on the album. Such a mess.

Well, the album did achieve 3 #1 hits, sold 6mil WW, and got a Grammy Nom. Obviously the music wasn't that bad. But there's no denying that the image is more memorable than the music itself.

Exactly!
