Today Lady Gaga launched LittleMonsters.com, a still-beta networking site that “Mother Monster” will use to communicate with her most devoted fans. The site is powered by start-up social media company Backplane, founded by Lady Gaga’s business manager Troy Carter and backed by investments from AMA winner Gaga herself as well as Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt (TechCrunch). We signed up, and got an email confirmation which read:
Your invitation request has been received! We’re excited to share the world of LittleMonsters with you very shortly, keep an eye out for an official invite sometime soon. Paws up!
In January, TechCrunch got a sneak peek at the site, which according to them will “combine some of the key features of Pinterest, Tumblr, Canvas, and Ning,” such as an image editor and a “Like” button that moves pictures up or down within the page’s grid.
Are you going to be one of the first to sign up for Gaga’s social network?
