MJ got A LOT of **** for lip-syncing at the time, so it's not like people just glossed over that. Either way, a lot of his routines would have been IMPOSSIBLE to do without lip-syncing. I don't think people understand that some things need muscle and breath coordination that goes beyond human capabilities. The point is he was still a talented vocalist. Lip-syncing didn't change that.

I understand lipsyncing if they're doing intense choreography.

But if your fav lipsyncs don't call out artists that actually TRY but miss.

If your fav uses heavy back tracking/ playback/ whatever don't call out lipsyncing or artists that try without back tracking, because I really don't consider lipsyncing any worse than using heavy back tracking.

I'm pretty sure Britney had an issue with a concert in Australia when people started booing and asking for their money back becaused she lip synched...

Now THAT'S what everyone should do... you record your songs in the studio for God sakes! SING them live as well... it shouldn't be a problem... it may not be as strong, but it will be real...

I don't mind lip syncing if you are doing the following:

A) You at least pre-recorded it. I don't want you dancing over the studio track

B. Aren't lip syncinc autotuned computerized parts, like how ****ing obvious.

C) You are dancing your ass off.

Also I'd rather you lip sync then sound an out of breath fool. And I'm sure Gaga has lip synced at times. She's one big ass gimmick. I don't buy all she has to say one bit.

I'm ok with Madonna's lip-syncing yesterday it was good except when "Music" started You could totally tell she was lipsyncing at that part. But she danced her ass off so she's forgiven.

She's 53 and after THAT she had to continue with the performance.

I hate artists who lip-sync. I lose some respect of Michael Jackson for doing it, but it is somewhat excusable since he is hugely talented, has an amazing discography, plus a huge amount of choreography he has to do. More than I can say for certain other artists who lip-sync.

Plus I can't with the people who ****ing lip-sync the National Anthem. I mean, Steven Tyler sounded terrible when he did it, but at least he didn't lip-sync. All you have to do is stand there and sing it. No choreography involved. THAT is inexcusable.

Yeah the whole Ashley Simpson thing is a good example.

I don't have a problem if you lip sync in a performance where a lot can go wrong (like the superbowl) but for basic performances, tours, and award show performances it's a little insulting.

That's because people like her and Hilary have never been able to sing at any point in their careers in or out of the studio. At least Britney and Janet can deliver in the studio.
