This really confuses me, For example I see people counting Mariah's christmas album as a regular album, is Daydream mariah's 4th album or is it the 5th? also people counting glitter, is Glitter the 8th mariah album? I also see this with whitney's the bodyguard.

But I never see anyone counting Madonna's soundtracks as albums or xtina's christmas album, etc, etc. I want to know.

Only when it comes to Mariah and Whitney ironically...... also Stevie Wonder and Prince.

I usually don't because Wikipedia () always includes them in different sections.

I don't know, I guess I count them as albums, because I did with my Mariah Carey one.
