Right now I have found that we are the victim of a SYN attack. Without going to much in depth it is a form of a dos attack. I am in the process of working on adding security options to try and prevent but from what I have been told the best way to block this is to upgrade to a hardware firewall. We currently use a software based one, the hardware firewall though cost significantly more.

I might donate if it can help to keep the site afloat.

Because this site has become of the biggest music/entertainment forums on the net. I mean, ATRL has been quoted in articles and have been heavily monitored by some of the biggest names in music (or their handlers at least).

The growth ATRL has experienced from 2008-present has been insane.

Any big sites will face problems with hackers, or even disgruntled users that we banned and now want vengeance.
