24 hours? Some people don't even read a post until it's over or nearly 24 hours old (like myself and this thread). Though, I do think that there should be a limit on how old a post can be before no longer being eligible for warning points. I'd say 72 hours to a week. I haven't personally been warned for a post older than 5 minutes, though, so I'm unbothered.
