Nobody is overreacting here.
Just because many people in the industry smoke doesn't make it ok to do it. And if he isn't stupid (nobody even called him stupid), then he wouldn't have tried cigarettes in the first place knowing how addictive it can be.
There is nothing wrong with wanting him to quit smoking. If people on Twitter trend something about Zayn and smoking it would show him how much his fans care and motivate him to quit. The fans are allowed to be concerned about Zayn's health.
