Madonna confesses that she spent a lot of time caring about the bad things people or press say about her, but she claims to have moved on. "I don’t really dwell on it anymore. I used to be kind of fixated on it and think, It’s not fair, it’s not fair, it’s not fair, but it is what it is, and I just have to get on with my life."

Well praise goes to her head so easily and transparently that I'm not surprised she used to be bothered by criticism. She was raked over the coals for most of the 90's and rightfully so, but I'm glad she learned.

Btw Like It Or Not is one of my faves songs from her.

I don't like this view of critics as bullies who want to punish her for being who she is. I think they genuinely didn't like her movie (b/c that's what this is really about). Why did she edit the hell out of it after it premiered to critical lashings? So she sacrificed the integrity of her art because of what those critics she's lambasting said about it?

This applies to any and everything, from politics to musicians. This is just the way it is. Not saying she is incorrect though. If you already dislike something or someone, then you're not going to like anything they do.
