i've just got done listening to some of her old live performances on AI and her voice is WAYYY much powerful, from Respect, Raining Men, Without You, I Surrender, Natural Woman and her deut with Reba McEntire her voice seems to be much stronger... Lately she hasn't done anything near that range, i hope on her new cd she uses more range like from I Surrender or Natural Woman

well thats before she was touring for a year and a half and not doing any promo or not as near as much now


think about it: singing once or twice a week to now touring for a year and a half

it will take a toll on your voice but once she rests up its brand new..

example: the independent tour and then she promoted and did her thing with 'Thankful' and then she went to AOL sessions to promote breakaway and the notes she hits in Miss Independent are the notes that she hits when she was on AI

she just needs rest and with the big gap between her new album after this tour we should get it :-)

Actually, they sang a LOT more than once or twice a week, more like multiple times a day, and toward the end of Idol she was losing her voice like crazy (Just listen to her talk, adn she even talked about it once or twice).

And I definitely agree she needs to rest more often.

Listen to What Hurts the most at the ACMAs. I thought not that she was holding back, but oversinging, therefore ruining her voice. But this changed that:

on her new album your going to definatley here the voice you heard on idol.

I think her voice is still the same. But in like WA and songs like SUBG she makes it more rock which i like more IMO.

Her next album is going to be souful rock so I think we will hear a lot more of her vocals. But I think after touring for years with the same album I think you would want to change some of the words in the song and how you sing it. You should see MI. That song changed a lot and its even better than the album version.

Yeah allong the lines of the post above me, the songs the first poster listed are a totally different vocal STYLE than the direction Kelly has gone in with her music lately. It's all in the material how her voice comes out.

I love it though. Its nice to see something new, even if its the same song.

I think she has just a little bit.

I want to hear her do a high note trick like she did in "Natural Women" during AI. That's all.

Its all the rock singin she does now.....when she goes back to str8 singin...she still got it!!
