Mediafire blocks links searched through Google, or did they?

You can no longer google a song or album name + mediafire and expect to be brought to the download link. Mediafire is still up but they've blocked the indexed links (which is how they're found on google) Just try searching a song name mediafire mp3 and you'll see that it says "This indexed link is unavailable"
So they THINK they got us, but all you need to do is copy the mediafire.com/(whateverthecodeis)
and place it in a new window and ta-da link. Good try tho.
Maybe it's a deal that they had to strike with the authorities to keep MediaFire up. I'm sure this way will soon be removed too though since MediaFire will most likely either have to be shut down or they will tell them to take down all illegal content from the server.
Still works for me (I'm not from the States). You could try a different search engine. Google must have blocked it. Mediafire is not responsible for Google indexing their site links. Mediafire plays by the book and co-operates so they will never be shut down.

Wait how do you do that
I usually search it by typing this into the google search box:

All I did was search:
Britney spears gimme more mediafire.. TI remix is the 1st result
Instead of clicking it I just copied the url thats in green under it
into a new window.

Oh I see what you mean.
The links are still indexed and you can see them, they just don't work when you click them from google
You have to copy and paste the URL.
Essentially, all they did was add an extra step
A mess
