I'm an avid fan of both, but The Hills has the slight upper edge. I love how it ultimately glamorized Hollywood and life in Los Angeles. There was more drama. Laguna Beach did the same thing for Orange County and I loved watching it, but compared to The Hills it was all a bit predictable. Every season: They have a trip to Cabo, winter formal, prom, graduation and then they go off to college. There was always a love triangle and two girls that hate each other because of mutual interest in a guy. You knew what was going to happen. Although ironically, The Hills was more set-up, however it was better television. It was kind of unpredictable. Heidi went through so much with Spencer, Lauren and the surgery. Brody's girlfriend hating on Audrina and Kristin, then Kristin getting with Audrina's ex. It was all entertaining.
