I think M.I.A is milking this because she dislikes Gaga. (who has also been recently getting dubbed as an Icon) Especially after all of the copying controversy. I mean I have nothing against Madonna, she deserves a lot of recognition for what she's done. However, this is stuff that's already been said and has been known by countless amounts of people in the U.S AND worldwide. We don't need to be reminded.

I dont have issues with MIA shows 'homage' to the Queen. GaGa did it countless times, too.
I just hope that the Queen will inspire more young artists to make music. Thats all.

I think it's because it seems phony. That's probably why some people are a bit uneasy with it. Sure people who stan for Madonna may say oh it's 'homage'. But we also know that MIA was not saying these things before she started working with Madonna. Oh well. As long as Madonna continues making music because she wants to .
