Queen of Pop Madonna has stepped up her hidden rivalry with Lady Gaga ahead of next month’s Oscars, saying she won’t attend a party where the latter is invited. The 53-year-old superstar has let it be known that if anyone wants her to attend the Oscars after-show party, Gaga must not be on the same guest-list, reported the Daily Mail.
“It’s unusual for Madonna to be so petty. She doesn’t usually act like this, even about bitter enemies such as Sean Penn and J-Lo. But she didn’t want to be forced into a photo-op with Gaga,” a source said. Madonna has not invited the Judas hitmaker Gaga to her own Oscars bash hosted with her manager Guy Oseary.
Earlier Gaga was accused of copying Madonna’s Express Yourself in last year’s anthem Born This Way and even the Material Girl felt the same.
“I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song. I mean, I recognised the chord changes. I thought it was... interesting,” Madonna said. — PTI
