So... a few weeks ago, I really really hated Lana Del Rey. Video Games bored me and so did Born To Die. I never really understood how her stanbase grew to that size.
And then Video Games got released and out of curiosity, I listened to it. And DAMN! I was stunned!
Is it because of the bandwagon effect or is she really that amazing?
Maybe it is. I didn't have an idea of who she were until November and I found her music intesting but boring in times, now I've been playing her album since it leaked
Partial bandwagon effect no doubt. We are all hard-wired to consume things that are placed before us, hence why repetition is used for marketing and advertising. It's not wrong to like her now, even if you are a bandwagoner. People should just be able to like what they like without being labeled as something or degraded for it.
Thanks for making this thread, I was asking myself the same thing! xD I hate bandwagons, but I can't help thinking I have followed one this time. I've been listening to her album non-stop since it leaked, but it's amazing!
Your delusional if you don' think Born To Die is a masterpiece.
My delusional?
But seriously, you're not jumping on the bandwagon, Genetic Fail, you're liking an artist. Jumping on the bandwagon would be liking her purely and intentionally because others do, to gain acceptance or feel involved.
