Personally, I think people should change what the hell they like about their looks. You only live once and we dont need to be stuck with what nature gave us if it makes us unhappy. But....they should be honest about doing it. Especially if theyre a public figure.

The thing with a lot of black guys (whether they're genetically from Africa, the Carribean, etc.) is that you can tell by their facial features. So they'd look strange as a white person, because in general, white people have different shaped noses, smaller penises, straighter hair, etc.

I think I'm quite lucky though. I'm mixed race, so I can claim to be black or white, just depending on what suits each situation the best.

You can also use Kojic Papaya soap. Just remember to use a moisturizer after applying it because papaya soaps can be drying to the skin.

You guys are just noticing this now? This is old news. He bleached his skin. He was trending on Twitter back in 2009 because of it.

As for, Vybz Kartel he bleached his skin for shock value. I remember he said if people can get nose jobs, tummy tucks, boobs done, hair transplants ect. Nobody can say anything bad about skin bleaching. He is basically comparing skin bleaching to plastic surgery and he does have a point. If people can do all of that, then why can some folks bleach their skin? I don't think it's self hate. We don't get upset when white people tan.

In the last ~10 years of his life, MJ always wore long sleeves and pants, so I'm convinced that he only bleached his face and hands--the things that are visible to the public--because the rest of his body had uneven pigment.

well I knew somebody at school who had vitiligo and they covered it with strong specialist make up. But they used a shade that matched their natural colour and was very open about it.

I don't know what motivated Michaels skin colour change but it's pretty clear that he wasn't happy with his natural features. I mean, he is probably the most famous user of plastic surgery of all time.

As Ive said before though, I think people should change whatever theyre unhappy with. But sometimes the results can be a mess. Thats the gamble you take I guess.

I agree with if you like something change it. But to the point where you're trying to mimic another race because you are ashamed of your own due to eurocentric teaching is still something to think about.

yes, but when a white person with a huge sticky out nose gets it made smaller or their lips made bigger theyre never accused of betraying their race. Whereas when black people have their lips reduced(Ive seen this done) or their nose slimmed down its always the first accusation. Or so it seems.

I don't really see why racial loyalty has to come into it. Im sure you can be proud to be black but still hate your physical features.
