Cheyenne Kimball is about to release her debut album on July 11, and she is about to have her own MTV show, "Cheyenne", which debuts on May 31.

I hadn't really heard much about her until I saw the promo for her show, so I checked out her lead single, "Hanging On" and I think it a great guitar-based pop song. You can check out the whole thing on myspace... I did then headed right over to iTunes to buy it!

What are your thoughts on this upcoming artist?

Her voice is SO annoying.

Yeah she isn't the strongest singer... she reminds me of a young Avril Lavigne (with not as great a voice)- maybe that's why I like her single.

Annoying voice, I think puberty needs to hit soon so she'll be listenable.

I think she's a good singer,and her songs actully have meaning behind them.Plus she gets a thumbs up from me from the start for not trying to be a carbon copy artist like a lot of teenage singers do,or trying to be like and sing like everyone else.

I think the people who said her voice is so annoying summed it up. And don't give me that "the lyrics are meaningful crap." Almost all songs have "meaning" behind it. She flat out sucks and I hope she loses money with this cd so I'll never have to hear from her again.

Prob. just the clip of one song on the MTV commercial.Why don't you listen to some more of her voice and songs before you go and judge her that way.Granted,"Hanging On" isn't her best song.

Ummm don't be stupid, you're using the same statement I used to Izzette in the Gwen and Gavin had a baby thread. My horizons are very expanded, I like rock, pop, rap, hip hop, and r&b. I pretty much only hate country and most heavy metal although Leann Rimes - "I Need You" is country and one of my fave songs. So don't make another dumb comment like that again.

As for this thread, pretty much everyone has said they think Cheyenne Kimball is annoying. Her voice is very whiny. And if she wants to become popular and draw interest then she should've selected a better first single than something that whiny. So re-evaluate who's being immature. I've expressed my opinion on her like others have. The thread asked for opinions of her didn't it? And I'm definitely not the only one who has said she's annoying.

everytime i see her commercials on MTV i think her voice sounds really screechy...but that is just one song so yea

Of course everyone is going to address the apparent agitating, screeching voice of hers, so I don't think she is going to go very far, unless she pulls an "Ashlee Simpson" and solely benefit because of the show.

She sucks, plain and simple.

Not only is she one of the worst singers I've ever heard but she's so full of herself and actually thinks her music is top of the line quality. All I get from her is a cocky vibe, but when she sings she's a whiner. :|
