3 million paid subscribers at $10 on average x 12 months = $360 million.
Of that, Spotify keeps 30%, the 70% goes to
1) record label
2) artists
3) publishers
Spotify has 3 million people paying $120 yearly for music. That's has to be a good thing. If worldwide, 100 million people use subscription music service like Spotify, that's 100 million x $120 a year = $12,000,000,000.
Worldwide subscription music paid subscribers:
2010: 8.2 million
2011: 13.4 million (65% increase)------------13.4 million x $120 on average =
$1.608 billion
2012: expect another big increase

2016:
subscription service is coming for Itunes wig. LOL.
