I don't see why people dislike the song. As a casual hip-hop fan, this song probably wouldn't appeal to me if it wasn't Nicki, but it IS, so I do like it. It's silly and funny and catchy at the same time.
Any publicity is good publicity. Tbh, it's the whether or not people like the song that will determine whether they buy it, take TEOG for example, the video was awful + it was still a huge hit.
I don't think it's in her favor. It's having the success it is having, because of her hype from PF and Super Bass. I love Nicki, but Stupid Hoe is a bad song and a bad video... thing is giving me epilepsy. It's like Gaga had her huge first-week sales for BTW because of FM. Hype from a previous best-seller is the best promo for a record.
I don't think people are losing respect...maybe if she had released a video for roman in moscow first and then a couple days later she released SH video then she'd be better
