American Idol really needs to stop with the power ballads.

It would also explain why with the exception of A Moment Like This, why most initial Idol singles don't do well except on the CD Single format.
Quiet verses, a lead up bridge, a HUGE chorus = Idol crap.
Kathrine's was especially poorly put together.

Agreed there... every year the winners' singles get even more predictable. I wish they'd do something daring for the winner and not anything predictable.
That being said, I'm looking forward to what they'll do on their albums, because they're ALWAYS better than the initial singles.
