From all of the news of christina aguilera's new album coming out and the waiting for the album, it looks like christina has another great hit in her hands..........She won't be like mariah carey, but if she does, it will be a surprise...what do you think....

I only see moderate sells like 'Stripped' (4x platinum) which was very reasonable because of her huge drop from being a #1 success to top5/top20. Anyways I haven't even heard a clip of whatever the 1st single is so I cant predict. It'd be great to see her become a huge flop and turn everyone's head.

This album is very RISKY. Noone so far that we see has goes that far back for the album like that. It took lot of guts. This album is very uncertain. Well, all I can see it is, it will either incredibly success or people would just hate it. So far, it took so much of her time on the album, I think the album at least sound OK.

I think 3X Platinum is guaranteed from the start, but it really all depends on how good the songs are to say it will sell beyond that.

Okay seriously since when is 4x platinum a MODERATE success.... in today's illegal download-plagued market, 4 million is HUGE! Albums just don't sell like they did 5-10 years ago, so 4 million is pretty unbelievable and extremely rare.

Christina is gonna blow up once again. Infact, I believe she will sell another 10 Million with "Back To Basics."

i think this album is gonna be VERY big and everyone will see that coming back to 20s 30s 40s sells and another artists will try to do the same...but will it succee again??? i dont think so

i'm actually somewhat excited for this album. everything i've heard about it sounds very promising.

I'm still not sure if this is a good idea. I think she'll disappoint with less than 2 million. The layoff she's had between cds, she's only had 2 cds out, since the Summer of 1999! Even if she is working as hard as she can on this cd, she's taking way too long. It's been 4 years since her last one!

I agree. She takes too damn long, and while not being in the spotlght every day of the year can be a GOOD thing, the extended hiatus has only hurt her. True, she may very well come back with this album and be the "Mariah" of 2006, but I highly doubt it. People just look at her as "that one pop girl with a better voice than britney that fell out of the spotlight" after 'Beautiful'. I can't remember the last time I saw her on TV, read about her in a magazine, or saw her face on one for that matter (until recently with the album promo starting). Best of luck to her....I just think it won't be as big some of you are predicting. Platinum is a given, but I don't know about much more.

Like some peeps have already stated she waits to long between albums which could explain fanbase lost. Although betweeb 1999 and 2002 she had a spanish, christmas, and unofficial album that all sold rather well. So I know it's a real accomplishment just to go 3x platinum for some artists but for Christina selling a 4 million copies less, and 3.5 million copies less worldwide, which is about 8 million CD's is kind of bad and it could drop more since she's totally changing her style.

At first i was worrie then in all the magazines, they're saying her cd is one of the most anticipated and stuff and it's obvious she'll do amazing. <3

"Stripped" success was no way moderate, and we can't compare it with her first album, that was so another era. "Stripped" did brilliant selling 10 million worldwide. Now a moderate sucess, I guess, will be this new album, cause I think it's too risky.

and stripped was big 'cause all the controversy around it and it still sold big.

You can't really judge how big a CD will be until you've heard the material.

I'm hoping she can get more success with this album... even if it has been a long time since "Stripped", I have a feeling she could surprise us again.
