She writes lyrics taken from her journals. Each relationship is different, I don't see how its repetitive...Most pop stars sing about the same thing for their whole career. Country stars, too. Tim McGraw hasn't changed one thing for the past two decades. She grows exponentially with each album. Seriously. Listen to them all. She started with fantasizing about a guy "Teardrops on My Guitar" to being in a relationship--albeit very fairytale-- in "Love Story," to experiencing profound heartache, and expressing it as such in "Dear John." Sonically and lyrically she grows every album.
And I don't think she's coming off as promiscuous; I think her not putting out quickly enough is what causes men to dump her
