The Singles winner was a given (no song better combined critical and commercial appeal), but what an inspired choice for Albums winner! She wasn't even on my radar for this, but it is well-deserved.
"Friday" in the top 60 on the singles list with 11 mentions? I know it pretty much represented 2011 in music (besides the undisputed queen of pop music - Adele) and it actually grew on some people, but seriously?
I love the top ten singles. "Rolling in the Deep," "Super Bass," "N**gas in Paris," "Till the World Ends," "Someone Like You" and "Pumped Up Kicks" were all on my personal year-end list.
I'm also glad to see "Lonely Boy" and "Call Your Girlfriend" crack the top 25, and those eight mentions for "How I Roll" make me very happy.
As for the albums, I didn't hear too many in 2011, so I'll just use their list as a guide to expand my own horizons in the coming weeks...
