The nation pauses Monday to remember the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., the civil rights icon who would have turned 83 this year had a bullet not cut short his life.
Let's discuss the impact this man has had on American history.
Only if all Americans actually heard the full speech. Everyone knows the I had a Dream part but holistically, the speech was full of amazing thoughts and ideas that had nothing to do with race. One of my favorite quotes from it is: "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education." Me and my friends always have intellectual conversations about this idea and it's funny to think he felt the same way I feel about it too.

I also how some people do all they can to destroy what he has worked for. MLK fights for our rights and tries to convince America that we are equal and we have so many young Black people running around messy, violent and uneducated. Am seething.
