in the dark has been doing well for a long time when it was released way back in april. the reason MKIA is doing better now is because it's newer. heck, it was released in september.
also, don't say stuff like "It's cute that you tried though" because it doesn't make you cool and makes you seem like a jerk and i lose respect.
In the Dark didn't even make it onto the Hot 100 until a couple weeks before MKIA dropped, so they started charting around the same time, while MKIA is the one that's still in the top 40 and In the Dark is nowhere to be found. Thanks to HAC and AC, MKIA will linger for quite a while longer too, so it's obvious which of the two will have more longevity in the end.

Guys, you cant compare a newbie artist's breakout single with an established artist's single. Makes no sense.
And you have no right to say that In The Dark didn't deserve Top 10, heck it deserved #1....!!!!!!!

Why can't you compare the two? There are breakout singles that have performed much better than established artists' singles. Songs perform on their own merits and being sung by an unknown artist can sometimes even work to its advantage.
I never said In the Dark didn't deserve the top 10. I enjoy the song. I'm just claiming that MKIA deserved it more, as its chart run and sales have shown.
How can we just compare Kelly and Dev?
They have different genres. One has released millions of singles while other just one.
They are just comparing their chart performance. They both performed similarly, so it's a reasonable conversation - even debunking the idea of one being more established, since she only did a little better. Dev, the new artist, was right behind her.
Kelly is singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, I expect an increase on What Doesn't Kill You. Gimme All Your Luvin' will probably go #1, so I guess Kelly will be at #2.
Imagine if Adele performed in the Halftime show. All of her singles would be in the Top 5, and her album would sell 1m.
