Slightly ahead of JoJo thus making the top 10 this year is Demi Lovato’s first single from Unbroken, Skyscraper. Her voice is so strong and at the same time really pure in this track. She is indeed an inspiration to a lot of people out there. I can’t think of anyone to sing this very beautiful song but her. Hoping for greater things to happen for her this year, Platinum certification for this song and Give Your Heart A Break to become a hit.
09 ONE DIRECTION
" What Makes You Beautiful " Days: 80 Peak: 1(11)
This is the biggest shocker I guess this year. One Direction goes straight in this year’s top 10 list with their debut single from Up All Night. Though the lyrics are cheesy, the tune is really catchy and perfectly made for CHR. I must admit that I am rooting for Cher Lloyd in their X Factor season, but I think everyone will agree with me that this single is way better than Cher’s debut single. It is interesting to see if they can maintain this momentum, especially in terms of their music chart success in my country.
08 KATY PERRY
" Last Friday Night ( T.G.I.F.)" Days: 100 Peak: 1(12)
Katy Perry’s first of two entries inside the top ten is her 5th single from the record breaking album Teenage Dream. Katy catapults herself as one of the most respected artists in the music industry with this song as the 5th straight #1 single from her current album, matching Michael Jackson’s record. Hands down to the effort exerted by Katy’s team in putting up great music videos plus the almost perfect selection of single choices (because I really wanted Hummingbird Heartbeat to be the 6th single. )
