I know you have Animation Shop Detroit, which is what i use so heres a VERY breif way on how to make an avatar
first, in Paint you make a 125x125 outline for the avatar
then in Animation shop, get the frames, COPY THE FRAMES YOU ARE USING INTO A SEPEARTE WINDOW, and then use the croping tool to make the caps smaller
then copy and paste the pics into the avatar
After that, using from 15-25 frames, make an animation by croping a few frames
Now on paint, your outline should have everything but the animation. Copy/paste the outline as many times as as many frames you have in the animation
Then, highlight every single frame in the animation, and then hold down the mouse and move them into the outline
*NOTE* the animation and caps will look a little weird and only 65kb avatar are allowed
That seems complicated yes, but thats how you make it
