Because she's Black. This industry is racist so they call any Black singer an 'R&B' artist. For example: Rihanna. The Grammys also snubbed 4, therefore all of their opinions on R&B music are invalid.

EDIT: IASF had 3 R&B songs (BHG, SOL & Ego) and 2 damn near Rap songs (Diva & Video Phone). Everything else was pure Pop.
