My vote goes to Dream. They had such a big impact on my musical tastes back when I was in high school and my freshman year in college. The song "This Is Me" was my favorite song by them.
By the way, there's a Japanese girl group named Dream. The Japanese girl group sings most of their songs in Japanese with the occasional English lyric. A typical J-pop group if you ask me.
According to Last.FM, there is also a Swedish band named Dream that makes "meoldic hard rock." Not that I know much about them, but someone knows they exist.
The most popular group named Dream is... it's a toss-up between the American group and the Japanese group. The top song "He Loves U Not" on the Last.FM chart for Dream is from the American girl group. 2nd song "My Will" is from the Japanese girl group.
