I have a hard time with deciding which is my favorite sometimes. I love the original because the whole situation seems hopeless (you can't run or hide from your sleep) and it gets very suffocating until Nancy realizes what she has to do.

Nightmare 3 was the first movie where the were dreams explored. I loved the whole dream warrior aspect of the movie, but I feel as if it could've been done a little better. The seamless awake or dreaming sequences are incredible. I really disliked how Nancy became this secondary character, tho. The movie is amazing nonetheless.

That's what happens when producers and studios who only want money get involved.

I used to be so scared of Freddy. Then while on vacation to a lake house, we watched the whole entire series in one day. One right after another. Since that day, I cannot fear him in anyway. I find him hilarious now!

I love the Halloween franchise too but I thought the Halloween II remake was awful.

The US title orginally was "Stranger in the House." I mixed up the titles.

What is OHMB? I use to use One Good Scare but I don't think it exists anymore. I got the Halloween: 25 years of terror DVD, and watched the documentary on the series too many times to count. I even went to the 30 years of terror convention.

My post was clearly a direct response to the thread title. I find that there are much better horror franchises out there, thus making the Scream franchise not "the great horror movie franchise of ALL time." in my opinion.
