I've only drank alcohol once (my boss gave me a bottle for Christmas at work 2 years ago), and it was the same for me. I never noticed anything different, which was strange, since people always said alcohol has a bigger effect on people when they have it for the first time. And it tasted and smelled horrible too.
I was 18 when I drank for the first (and only) time, and I'm 19 now. The reason I've never drank alcohol is because I have really strict parents and they also think I'll go to hell if I drink alcohol.

I've had a lot of people get angry at me when I don't drink at parties.

Probably for the reason you said, since it can make them feel uncomfortable I guess. They probably also don't like the fact that there'll be sober people there who'll remember everything, etc. It's different if everybody is drunk, because nobody will be 100% sure what happened, so it's not so embarrassing for people if they do stupid things.
