True.... This era is called 'Born This Way' .. Why she just doesn't follow 1 direction ?? like she did for The Fame ?? I mean the fashion, music , her looks.... were matching PERFECTLY with that era... But BTW era...Jupming from a style to another..

This era has given us so many distinct looks its fascinating:
Ie anything with:
Teal, Black n White, a Hairbun, Grey, A side ponytail, Snooki Poof, Latex, Leather, Spikes, The Funky Square/Triangular Sunglasses, The Distinct Egyptian Eye Makeup, Mugler, Noritakas, Catsuit, Horns, Masks, Hoop Earings, Mint, etc.
The one thing the BTW Era can pride itself on is being DISTINCT.

Yeah but I don't really know how you would incorporate the 'preachiness' into a specific outfit or look. You're saying that the looks don't match the 'preachiness' so I was curious at what you would be looking for in particular.

Yes! I love this observation and I totally see where you are coming from. Therefore, her outfits do fit with this era's direction imo.

I mean, there is no way those example looks above could scream TFM, or TF. 
I hope in time, one day the BTW Era will be iconic and looked back on with pride.

Well adding to what Gagasm said, the way I look at it is that with all the diverse and distinct looks, it sort of mirrors the concept of Born This Way. I mean we have had all sorts of looks, from the grotesque to the beautiful, but in some way, they were all able to be accepted. It's hard to explain. 
And like Gagasm said, most of the looks this era are unique to this era only.

I agree with it as well. This whole era has no NAME to it. Sure we call it the BTW era but if you really think about it all her past looks had a name. You can see some of her outfits and point out OH That's from The Fame or that's from TFM. With this era it really is all over the place.

Look at it this way:
The theme of Born This Way was birth. And Gaga interpreted birth as something Monstrous, Crazy, Chaotic, and Extreme that connects together into something great hence the BTW Video.
Thus the looks of this era is styled under the theme of the era: The looks have been Extreme and Crazy(Horns, Catsuits, Dramatic Makeup, different and out there Hair colors that connect together at the end.
And The Chaos of this Era comes from the variety of looks that upsurge at different times(ie teal, black n white, and grey hair eras coming and going during different parts of the year).
The Era is layed out in a crazy way, but it meshes together if you look at the big picture.
