UK rappers are a lot more well-behaved than the US rappers in general. I think because the UK is more conservative that the US overall. I can't think of many, if any, recent UK rap hits that have had a homophobic slur in. And UK rappers don't commit crimes as much, they don't talk about drugs as much in their songs, they don't talk about women in as degrading a way. And many other things. They're just so well-behaved in comparison to the US ones.
Songs like Look At Me Now and Rack City would never become hits in the UK. People just...wouldn't like them tbh.
That said, most US rappers aren't homophobic either. Saying the f-word doesn't make you homophobic. Homophobia was a big problem in the late 90's, but it's different now. Some rappers, like Kanye West, are almost gay-rights activists, and most others like Eminem have said they support gay marriage.
